ATLANTA – A new technology-focused golf league led by Tiger Woods, Rory McIlroy and former Golf Channel president Mike McCarley was unveiled Wednesday at East Lake.

McIlroy and McCarley, who have partnered with Woods to form TMRW Sports, outlined the tech-infused startup that will feature six three-man teams of PGA Tour players competing in made-for-television events that will combine virtual technology and a green complex at a custom-built venue.

The TGL events, which will include 15 regular-season matches and a postseason, consisting of the league’s top four teams, is scheduled to begin in January 2024 and will mostly air on Monday nights. Each team will play each other twice during the regular season.

Many communities now offer public EV charging stations, but owners still benefit from having their own charging capabilities in their garage or driveway. The city has become one of the first in the nation to install EV charging stations mounted on utility poles along its streets.

NEW YORK CITY (WABC) — New York City is trying to put the brakes on speeding by implementing new technology in city fleet vehicles as part of a pilot program.

Major Eric Adams and Department of Citywide Administrative Services (DCAS) Commissioner Dawn Pinnock announced the implementation of active intelligent speed assistance (ISA) technology in 50 vehicles.

ISA technology restricts a vehicle’s maximum speed, preventing it from exceeding local speed limits.

The pilot program will offer a tool to regulate and standardize safe driving among city employees and is the latest safety initiative to be implemented as part of the DCAS Safe Fleet Transition Plan for city fleet units.

“Speeding ruins lives, so we must take action to prevent it, and New York City is leading by example by implementing new technology to reduce speeds on city fleet vehicles,” Adams said. “Our streets must be livable for everyone, and this technology
